Bessie

 

“Uh, Doctor, what's this?”
 

Amy was currently staring at a yellow roadster. She was parked in the little garden that she found while exploring. She was hoping to find the pool that he mentioned several years ago, but she wasn't having any luck on that end. So she came to the garden hoping to look at other-planetary flora and found the vehicle in the middle of the path.
 

The Doctor came into the room just behind her. “What are you asking about?” He moved around her to get a better look. “Oh, Bessie. How did you end up here? I thought you got left back in the Death Zone.”
 

Amy was focused on first part more than the second. “You named your car Bessie?”

“I happen to like the name Bessie.” He opened up the door to get in the driver's seat. “Oh, those were some days. Driving her around while trying to stop everything from destroying Earth.” He started becoming downfallen at the next thoughts to go through his head. “Brigider and Liz, Jo. Those were some days.”

“Most people would say those were the days.”

“I'm not most people. Besides, those weren't the only days that I experienced.” He got out and closed the door, running a hand along the body of Bessie.

“Well, tell me some of those days. And explain the Death Zone that you mentioned.” She took the lead of going out of the garden.

“Well, the Death Zone was a place on Gallifrey...”

Rory and Amy were getting the necessities, food, drinks for the TARDIS kitchen. He was over in the toys, looking at the strange things that humans made up for their children to play with. Well, it isn't as bad as the Yamburs toys. He was moving away from the area when he saw them. Donna and her husband were in the next area, picking out a movie.

"I told you, no romances!"

"I am not watching some Sci-Fi movie. Why do you like those anyway?"

Donna turned to her husband, "I don't know. Reminds me of something." They bickered for a little longer, going over action, romance and drama to pick out a comedy movie. They were heading out of the section when the Doctor didn't move fast enough, fake glancing at movies at the front.

"Oi, watch it Spaceman!" He looked up, startled. No, she cannot remember!

"I'm sorry, what?"

She shook her head. "Sorry, don't know why that came out."

"It's alright."

"Honey, come on. We need to get to your mother's for dinner." He led her away to the front of the store.

A little more than shaken, he headed toward the food to see Rory and Amy with a full, large cart. "Do we really need that much?"

Amy looked at him. "You're feeding three people; one of whom won't admit he eats too much fish and custard."

"I do not eat that much!" he protested, heading to the front.

"It's your breakfast, lunch and dinner unless we can get you to eat something else," Amy countered, leading the way with the cart.

Unexpected

It was a intergalactic bar. He, The Doctor, would never be caught at a place like this. Except for the one time he set up Jack and Alonso, but he was close to regeneration and doing desperate things. Like seeing Rose before they knew each other.

River, however, wanted a drink and how was he to say no. So he sat with her while she was drinking a beer native to a provence in Yyaminn while they both comment on recent events. He looked around the area and saw Jack, sitting with Alonso as they sat close together. He quickly looked back to their table and resolved not to look over. Do not draw attention. Do not draw attention.

However, Jack was drawn to to the person by her side and not him. Moving away from Alonso and coming up to her, he waited for her to stand. She looked at him, and instead of saying anything, stood up. “Oh sweetie. Come here.”

Jack hugged her and she hugged back. The Doctor's eyes popped out his sockets when he saw this. Not flirting with her. This isn't right. He had even more proof when Jack uttered the one word he never anticipated. “Mom.”

“What!?” he yelled, completely copying the voice of his last incarnation and jumping up.

Two voices chimed, “Doctor?”
