You read that right. Guiding Light edition.

White Collar/Guiding Light, Neal(Ben Reade)+All, A case brings Neal and someone from his past face to face. Thoughts on who the person could be, Billy(cousin), Alan, His Father, Holly, or Michelle.

Seeing Not Quite Dead People
This was supposed to be a relaxing trip. Holly told herself as the FBI now decided to join the party. New York was supposed to be a vacation trip. She would take in a few shows, visit a few places. Then someone decided to steal a painting at the museum she was visiting. Security locked the place down in hopes that the thief was still among them. NYPD had been the first to arrive. Statement taken and searched, she was ready to get back to her hotel room.

Then the FBI came in. The two first were African American, instantly sweeping up the curator and the security chief over their suspects. The next two were an older man, obviously married and ...

“Ben?”

The reaction hadn't been loud, and the room were everyone was was actually pretty loud, but it just felt like they went silent when she said it. The agent looked over at her, then at him, asking him something. He shook his head and replied, “I've never met her, Peter.” Not believing him in any way, he was, not glad but possibly revealed when one of the other agents waved him over and he left him behind. The man she thought was Ben walked off into a more deserted area and she followed, determined to get answers.

He was waiting in an empty room and she looked around before entering herself. “Benjamin Louie Stoddard Reade, you tell me what is going on here now!” she whispered, “You committed suicide; your heart stopped and you were pronounced dead.” He hung his head at the last sentence. “Ben.”

“Not here,” he muttered, looking at the cameras. “And my name's Neal now.” He went to leave.

“Oh no you don't. Get back here,” she admonished, wrapping him in a hug. It took a second, but he squeezed back. “I will meet with you after you solve this case, got it?”

“Yes, ma'am,” he joked, earning a light arm hit as they walked out.
It had been a while since Jay had seen the town. He still had no completely reasonable idea why he thought of Springfield. Will had mentioned the need for money. Their way of stealing and pickpocketing was being noticed and traced by the Fourth Branch. He remember his inheritance, stored someplace safe and building slowly because of his wariness after the trust fund. Holly held it for him in emergencies. This surely counted.

He still wasn't sure of himself as they drove in with the car they stole a state back. Will told them it needed to be ditched soon. He agreed, but he wasn't sure walking around. Jay was certain the wrong people would recognize him. His cap, now of a green and white college, was pulled down over his hair, covering his eyes and desperately his face. The news showed their faces every hour and while he wasn't surprised at the gossip flying around; he was astonished no one had connected the past and present.

Well, almost no one.

“Your father is livid,” Holly told him after Tyler accepted first shower and Will wasn't back from scouting.

“At the framed for another crime part?” he flatly joked.

“Thirty minutes after your picture ran on the news; he's screaming in my ear. 'Why didn't you tell me? What's going on?' I tried denying it. He kept calling me.”

“He used Meg, didn't he?” he said, rueful.

“I didn't want to lie to her.”

He laughed. “He used to do it to me whenever there was a bad report sent home.” He pushed back the attached memory. “How mad is he?”

“That his son is still alive and he wasn't told?” she posed, “Very.” They stopped talking when the shower stopped.

Tyler walked out in freshly washed clothes. “All yours,” he waved with a flourish.

“Yeah, after you've used all the hot water,” he cracked, dodging a swipe.

Holly gave them her car, which Will started removing all identification on. Fifteen thousand from his inheritance was also in a case in the trunk. Jay hung back to talk to her while Will and Tyler worked out their next move. “Thanks for helping us out,” he muttered, careful to not let them hear.

“Get yourself cleared and then thank me,” she whispered, “Be careful, Ben.”

“I'll try.”

“Don't just try. Your father can't lose you again.”

Chuck/Guiding Light (Bryce)Ben, "Would you believe me if I told you I was a spy and all those people I killed were part of a terrorist group attempting to steal a computer program filled with government secrets?"

Fill: Spy Opera

Bridget Waters' father was in a key position on Project Omaha. When the CIA found out she had been passing information to Fulcrum, they tried apprehending her. Unfortunately, they tried it when she had a ready hostage nearby. She was killed; the hostage was taken in, questioned and let go.

When they found that her contact had started looking into her death, they figured the best way to take him out and anyone else he was working with was to send in someone.

Bryce Larkin looking like Ben Reade, Bridget's boyfriend and former hostage, was the perfect way in. No one would suspect him. Trust fund babies were usually concerned about money and image than anything else. Reade was switched with Larkin just after the situation with Marah and before Marina became smitten with him. With her father being the Chief of Police, he would be able to hang out and listen in to anything that was going on in the town.

'Ben' was wasting away in the interrogation room. Ramona's death had put a spanner in the works. He didn't kill her. All of his targets had been neutralized. Jed Simmons and 'Renee' aka Jenna Finch, a known Fulcrum agent, had been taken out already. 'Renee's' roommate hadn't known much, so the agency had replaced with someone to gather even more information.

They had been looking for a chance to switch him back out with Reade. However, the relationship with Marina had gotten deep. He knew now would be the perfect chance to place him back, if the murder charge wasn't hanging over 'his' head.

The door opened again with Holly and his handler walking in. He very carefully did not wince. "You two know each other?" he flatly joked.

His handler glared, "Get up. Reade's here and you're being pulled out." He happily jumped out of his seat with Holly staring at him and his handler leading the way.

Cooper wasn't about to let them go that easily. "You're not walking out of here with my suspect," he shouted, blocking the door.

"Detective, those murders are not your concern anymore. Leave it be."

"Ramona Hendon's murder is and he is still a suspect."

Bryce spoke out, "I did not murder Ramona Hendon. You may want to look at her husband; he hated her."

"So did you."

He smirked, "I didn't hate her. All the things I told you were part of the cover.”

“Cover?” At that moment, the handler motioned for someone to walk into the room. Ben Reade, the actual one, was wearing the exact thing that Bryce had on. “What the hell?”

Bryce tried one last approach to lighten up the mood. “Would you believe me if I told you I'm a spy and all those people I killed were part of a terrorist group attempting to steal a computer program filled with government secrets?” he sweetly explained. His handler just glared at him and he went silent after that.

“Ben Reade has not been anywhere with Ramona Hendon. He's been under protective detail while our agent worked. The agent did not kill your murder victim; I did however spot another man going into her room before our agent found her. I believe that would be the husband he is referring to. Now, my agent is needed on another mission,” he detailed, nodding goodbye and pulling Bryce by the back of his collar out the door.

“That wasn't funny, Larkin,” his handler growled, not letting go of his collar until they reached his car.

Bryce stared at the car. “You brought your Crown Vic?” he asked needlessly. “Can't you go anywhere without that, Casey.” The other man just growled again as he placed himself in the backseat, far away from the driver.
